The Heartland Institute is proud to unveil its new “in-house” policy blog, Somewhat Reasonable. It is the place friends and fans of The Heartland Institute can keep up with the conversation about free markets, public policy and current events that takes place every day among our fellows and scholars. Heartland staffers don’t always agree, which is part of the fun of working at a “libertarian” think tank.
We’ve been working on it for a while, so it already features plenty of interesting content.
- Today, Benjamin Domenech is live blogging the Donald Berwick hearings from Capitol Hill.
- LPIN’s Marc Oestreich writes a quick commentary on the gaining popularity of his Parent Trigger, the failures of Title I funding, Privatizing NPR and a host of other topics.
- Benjamin has also written several pieces on the Winners, Losers, and Costs of Obamacare.
- Bruno Behrend’s post on the powerful effects of technology in redefining public schooling is a great read.
- Benjamin Domenech and Ben Boychuck jointly interviewed libertarian-on-the-rise Rand Paul in a Somewhat Reasonable Podcast.
- John Nothdurft and Bruno Behrend have differing views — dueling posts, as it were — on Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels’ controversial endorsement of a value-added tax, or VAT.
