Libertarian Party of Indiana Concludes 2017 Convention with Leadership Change
Over the weekend, the Libertarian Party of Indiana held its annual convention in Evansville, Indiana. The event is marked by the election of the new chair, Tim Maguire.
“Hoosier Libertarians have rallied around a vision for winning local elections that will ensure that we capitalize on our past successes and significantly increase our growth in this state,” said Maguire.
Tim Maguire is a past county chairman, candidate, and campaign manager, as well as a former chairman of the Indianapolis Board of Zoning Appeals. Tim is a registered representative with Primerica Financial Services and helps his wife Allison with her successful business, Happy at Home Pet Sitting, LLC. He currently serves as treasurer of the Crooked Creek Community Development Corporation. He is 40 years-old.
Maguire continued, “Hoosiers are tired of the crony capitalism offered by Indiana Republicans and being tolerated by Indiana Democrats. They claim to stand up for small businesses, but their efforts to stifle businesses like Ricker’s show their true principles. Their continued tax increases show how out of touch they are with the electorate. Voters are ready for a third way, and the Libertarian Party of Indiana’s new direction will give our candidates the tools they need to get our message of hope out to the voters.”
The convention also saw the re-election of Rodney Benker as Vice Chair, Frank Rossa as Secretary, and Michael Schultheiss as Treasurer. Sam Goldstein was appointed as Political Director, and Jesse Riddle was appointed as the Technology Director.
