Today, the Libertarian Party of Indiana is announcing several changes to our candidate list for November following the state convention.
- The State Central Committee took an action at its last meeting this past Saturday concerning Joe Bowman, who was nominated at our convention to run in the 4th Congressional District. The SCC passed the following motion unanimously: ” Due to serious application problems and inconsistencies as well as other received information, the SCC finds that Joe Bowman misrepresented himself at the party convention, and that his nomination to be candidate for IN congress 4th district is rescinded.” At this time, the CD-4 spot is vacant.
- Congressional District candidate Jason Sharp withdrew as the party’s candidate for CD-7. This leaves the CD-7 position vacant. Sharp is seeking appointment to the party’s CD-9 vacancy.
- James Nease has withdrawn as the party’s candidate for HD-89, and is now seeking a vacancy appointment to the party’s spot for HD-100.
