NEW VICE CHAIR SELECTED BY LIBERTARIAN PARTY OF INDIANA
INDIANAPOLIS, IN. The State Central Committee for the Libertarian Party of Indiana has elected a new Vice Chair to fill the seat vacated by former Vice Chair, Karl Tatgenhorst.
Tatgenhorst, who vacated his seat in order to concentrate on his campaign for Lieutenant Governor, will be running with Rex Bell for Governor of Indiana. “Karl has been a stalwart supporter and worker for the Libertarian Party of Indiana, and his presence will be missed in the Party’s leadership” said Benker, “but his campaign with Rex Bell is of higher priority for us this year.”
“Rodney Benker brings to our leadership team an expertise in Social Media that will allow the LPIN to excel this election cycle. I look forward to working closely with him for the remainder of my term” says Libertarian Party of Indiana Chair, Joe Hauptmann.
Rodney plans on continuing the push on Social Media to get Libertarian candidates and the Libertarian message in front of as many people as possible. He has also committed to improving the Party’s organizational structure to enable better communications both inside and outside of the Libertarian Party of Indiana.
“We are seeing unprecedented growth this year, both nationally and at the state levels as a political Party”. Continues Benker, “We have some of the best candidates running this year than any year prior, and I encourage everyone to check out your other options at our LPIN.org website.”
Outside of politics, Mr. Benker is the Digital Media Director at a large Christian church in Greenwood, Indiana and father to three children. Within the Libertarian Party, Rodney is the Libertarian Party of Johnson County Chair and the Social Media Director for the Libertarian Party of Indiana.
