A candidate development workshop will be taking place on Saturday, February 11th and Sunday, February 12th. The LPIN State Central Committee will also conduct it’s quarterly meeting on Sunday from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

Presented by officers, leaders and past candidates of the Libertarian Party of Indiana, the workshop will present information, resources, exercises and roundtables for those who are planning, or considering running for elected office. Libertarian organizers, activists and campaign managers are welcome, and encouraged to attend. The purpose of this work shop is to provide assistance and guidance preparing candidates for the 2012 campaigns.
The program will be divided between three sessions of lecture, roundtable and ‘hands on’ development workshops. Candidates may select which portions they attend as their own personal needs and time allows, as well as select areas of particular interest to attending campaign staff. The full agenda is recommended for all. Information will be presented for use by both experienced and new candidates. The agenda and topics are designed to build upon our previous session which is available for viewing on youtube. Jerry Titus – Campaign Plan – Developing and resources.
Kelly McKinney – Canvassing and Outreach – What is old is new again.
Ryan Liedtky – Using the local media as a candidate and customer.
We will break for lunch on site with a chip in pizza lunch planned at a cost of approximately $5.00 each.
3:00 – 5:00 pm Roundtable session
Our roundtable sessions are planned to bring both new and experienced candidates together to share experiences, practices, techniques and tactics. As well as to collaborate and build a network of cross support and coordination for candidates of like levels of office. Rebecca Sink-Burris and Andy Horning will lead the Federal candidates session. Ron Cenkush will lead out State level session. Mike Kole and Joyce Morrell will lead the County level session.
6:00 – 9:00 pm Dinner
A casual ‘pay as you go’ dinner is planned at a local restaurant, with an expected cost of under $30 per person.
Sunday, February 12th 1:30 to 4:30 pm Hands on Experience
The goal of the workshops is to provide hands on experience and connect candidates with resources within the party to assist them with website and campaign literature development.
