Andrew Markle Announces Intent to Run for LPIN Vice Chair at State Convention

Dear Fellow Hoosier Libertarians,

Ambrose Bierce once wrote, “Liberty is one of Imagination’s most precious possessions.” He
was right. Throughout the ages, our ancestors have fought for the very right to be free, and that
freedom — that liberty — has been the driving force behind all of our actions.

In 2011, I must say that I am very proud to be a Libertarian. 2010 wrought great victories for
the Libertarian Party in Indiana and I am honored to be a part of what I believe will be even
greater victories in 2011. I am humbled to be a part of a party that distinctly continues to fight
for individual liberty and who supports the innate human want to be free.

Inspired by my educators, my peers, and the principles of this party, it is with great pleasure
and excitement that I announce my intentions to run as Vice Chairman of the Libertarian Party of
Indiana. Together, I believe that we can inspire hope into the lives of thousands of Hoosiers
throughout this great state of ours.

I believe in our party, in our volunteers and most importantly, I believe in our ability to succeed.
Together, we can make a difference — a difference that promotes liberty, peace and stability
without the constraints of party lines and agenda. Together we can educate our fellow citizens
on what it means to pursue liberty and how to pursue individual freedom and responsibility with
a party that means what it says and inspires hope in everyone that learns about us.

We will make a difference in 2011 and I aim to bring my skills as a visual communicator to the
table to help ensure our impact. I thank all of my fellow Libertarians for their contributions
to the party and to those who have steadfastly encouraged me to run for Vice Chairman. I
particularly thank Dan Drexler, whose leadership has helped an official transition to this office a
reality.

Hoosier Libertarians: are you ready to inspire hope throughout the state? I am and I hope that
you will join me. Thank you for taking the time to consider my candidacy.

In Liberty,

W. Andrew Markle
