Tom Woods to Visit Indiana University on September 21

Dear Liberty Lovers,

It’s been a hard fight to continue the cause of liberty on Indiana University’s Bloomington campus. In a liberal-dominated town, and an even more “progressive” school, there just simply isn’t a lot of room left for proponents of smaller government.

Young Americans For Liberty at IU Bloomington has fought to change that, with a quest and a mission to host Tom Woods on campus to lecture about Austrian Economics in relation to the economic crisis. It took a year and a half battle, multiple monetary denials from a school funding board that claimed to represent the students at IU, and a lot of help from the national YAL, the Leadership Institute, and Campus Reform. Eventually, a different funding board on campus, IUSA helped our cause, and, with your help, donations, and over $4000 later, we finally secured a date with Tom Woods, booked an auditorium, and the event was a go. This is not simply an event for the members of YAL at IUB. This is OUR event. I want all of you to be a part of this memorable day when, for the first time, the students of IU, the community of Bloomington, and all that can join us in this truly historic event will learn what it means to stand for smaller government, free markets, sound money, and a world without the Federal Reserve System.

Please join me and others this fall as we spread the message of liberty and economic freedom on IU Bloomington’s campus.
