Help at the Celebrate Memphis Festival OPH Booth

Greetings Libertarians,

This Saturday and Sunday, October 1-2, the Libertarian Parties
of Clark and Floyd counties will operate an OPH Booth at the
Celebrate Memphis festival. This will be our second time we have had
a booth at this event. We will be promoting our local municipal
Libertarian Party candidates for public office. We will share our
message of freedom and liberty as we lead up to the November 8
elections.

We will be giving out the World’s Smallest Political Quiz and our
Vote Libertarian balloons. We will have Libertarian-related flyers
and brochures to give out. The Clark County Tea Party Patriots will
also have a booth at this festival. They have been supportive of our
efforts.

Both the Democrats and Republicans will be operating their own
booths, and while they will be touting and promoting their particular
brand of more government, we will be representing the small
government alternative. Our goal is to spread our message of freedom
and to identify those who are libertarians but don’t know it.

On Saturday the booth will operate from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. On
Sunday the booth will begin at 9:00 AM and run until 5:00 PM.
Saturday will be our main day as the festival receives its largest
turnout that day.

To get to Celebrate Memphis, take I-65 to Exit 16 which is the
Memphis exit. You will see the festival grounds on the east side of
the interstate in the field across from the large red flea market
building. It can’t be missed.

Bring the family out for a day at the festival, as there will be a
midway with rides and a stage for various entertainment, along with
the many various vendor booths.

If you have any questions, drop me a line.

Yours in liberty,

The State party will receive 30,000 World’s Smallest Political Quiz door hangers on Tuesday, October 19, 2010. We will mail you as many as you need to walk your own neighborhood to put these on your neighbor’s doors. Please email Chris Spangle at lpinhq@lpin.org with requests.

Don’t Get Mad, Get Even!

My 11th grade history teacher once told my class that we have an illusion of power when it comes to our government. He said “You all will follow my instructions because I am the teacher, and I have the illusion of power. But there are 30 strong individuals in front of me, and you could easily ignore or overtake me at any moment. But you don’t, because you think I control you or you are too afraid of the consequences.”

We have the ability to change our government through political means because there are more of us than them. We are the power base in this country and we DO have the leash on our government. It’s time to pull the leash. We have the opportunity in 2010 to reach out to independents, tea partiers, uninvolved libertarians, and the politically homeless.

2010 Revolution!

In the 40 years of the Libertarian Party, no election cycle has held the promise of growth like 2010. The last 3 years of reckless and shady dealings in Washington have led Americans to the realization that they are no longer in control of their own lives. Their politicians are no longer looking out for their best interest.

The average American voter wants to take that power back. This year’s growth can change the ability of the Libertarian Party of Indiana to affect more public policy and win more elections for the next 100 years.
