Libertarian Party of Washington County Holds Organization Meeting

The Libertarian Party of Washington County will have their first meeting at KD’s Backroads Restaurant, 1012 E. Hackberry Street (State Highway 56), Salem, IN on December 29, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM. The purpose of the meeting is to reactivate the county organization, which has been inactive for several years.

This meeting is for new members, old members, and potential members, and for potential 2012 Libertarian Party candidates. The main agenda items are to plan and schedule the Organizing Convention, at which bylaws and officers will be chosen and we will become officially affiliated with the Libertarian Party of Indiana. Party representatives from the State and 9th District will be there to help us get properly organized and affiliated. And there should be eating, getting acquainted with each other, and discussion of what the Libertarian Party of Washington County will be doing and what it will be about.

The Libertarian Party is the third-largest political party in the United States, and the Libertarian Party of Indiana is one of only three political parties which are automatically qualified for ballot access in Indiana due to the strength of past voting results.
