Good write up Dan. It would raise some eyebrows, I'm sure, to have a "modern day" Lady Godiva or some similarity to a Lady Godiva in this scenario. Unfortunately It wouldn't get the attention that the real thing would get. Sometimes I wonder just how much attention that protesters get other than just being a "bunch of anarchists." I supposed Lady Godiva, wife of the Earl of Mercia preformed her stunt nude to achieve such a sensation. But alas, the performance was to fulfill a bargain with her husband that he would ease the tax burden on his earldom. Our job today is to open the eyes of our fellow citizens enough to demand better representation in out government. And, the question is how do we accomplish that? Keep up the good work Dan and thank-you.

Thank you Mr. Drexler for recognizing the efforts of so many others. It is a pleasure to be able to share such determined individual accomplishments. In the movement for liberty restoration awards are nice but all of your candidates "winner" or not performed as individuals walking the same path along with fellow Patriots and seekers of liberty, the true winner of every honor is Freedom.

To all of you and the many others who did whatever they could do as individuals thank you. There is a growing silent thirst seeking to share and learn of your efforts. The net now allows the ability to spread information far and wide which in the past may have only reached a few. I anticipate the LPIN will continue to publish such information and encourage comments and discussion in the continued effort to bring understanding to the core principles of the Libertarian Party and lead the way to the restoration of protections for Individual Sovereign Rights and constitutionally limited government.

Jeremiah - I completely agree and appreciate your insight on this issue. However - I do have one comment to make about our state government being pretty well right sized. On the surface this may appear true – however we still have government down to the township level that I largely feel are not necessary. It is no longer a true burden to travel to the county seat. This is one of the primary reasons that township government was formed. But in most counties it seems to be a layer of government that is truly not needed. And it is expensive! Sit down and calculate the salaries alone of these employees of our government.
This layer of government should be eliminated and moved to the county level. The amount of work done could easily be absorbed by hiring a few clerks on the county level that would have the skill set needed to perform these tasks. I know there will be some valid arguments to retain township level government – but honestly it is my opinion that it could and should be moved to a more central location. It is worth examining.
Thank you for your leadership!

In my opinion Ball State first attempted to destroy the value of the Hiatt Printing business by "suggesting" that all copying be done "in house" (regardless of the cost and quality differences". Folks like T. Lubbers seem to have been captured and look the other way as education is "re-defined" into motel management. BSU has long had a hotel in its Student Center where for years they also ran a subsidized food service operation that assisted numbers of private sector restaurants to go out of business. BSU has also long been acquiring properties and taking them off the tax roles to the detriment of its host community while growing their "administrators".
The funny thing is that the Hotel Industry originally wished to locate at Ball State but Ball State could not come up with the money-so they located at Cornell (I think) and BSU is 40 or 60 years late to the feast. As soon as Mitch draws up the template for cost reduction for so called "higher" ed BSU will be a prime place to whack FAT. It could be done sooner but for a very untalented Board of Trustees. Gora is very articulate but seems to have a mean streak-didn't like, I suppose, that Mr. Hiatt tapes all her millions of dollars of construction dollar wastes via sometimes illegal wage setting boards (in my opinion some doofuss from their highly rated College of Business does not quality as a representative of BUSINESS).
So, it appears that BSU attempted first to drive down the value of the Hiatt Printing Business and then to steal the difference between what it was worth and what they could find some appraiser to say what it was worth. It would be interesting to have been able to attend the trial with the very competent Judge Cannon. I will note that appraisers have been known, in Muncie, in my view, to shade matters-often a second opinion comes in much closer to those who offer repeat business.
The bullying doesn't cease with BSU's past efforts-the idea that Mr. Hiatt should have to come up with a million dollars just to appeal the decision also stinks but it is a common enough practice of "educators" and the legislators ought to fix that abuse. In addition, they might consider requiring an ethics course for all "administrators" while they whack the BSU budget under the pretext that motel management is more suited to Ivy Tech than a "University"...in other words, redefine up-not down.

"But you must know that participating in the political process is a constant struggle of integrity. You must stay principled while building connections and compromising." By compromising I conclude you no not mean compromising libertarian beliefs just to gain recognition since you state in your closing sentence: " For this to take place, we cannot compromise on our beliefs to compromise and gain power. To do so isn’t a win. It’s just a smaller form of statism." These statements seem contradictory to those of us who you might consider small L. Can you further explain what you consider compromising?

While I can understand the positions of any other individual regardless of party affiliation or support of advocacy groups I do not have to compromise my position to build connections. I prefer we each know where the other stands, why and respect the fact that there are differences. It is only when we communicate on civil terms even if the issue is diabolically opposed to Libertarian principle that liberty can be discussed in the hope of changing the nation's citizens attitude about unauthorized government control of Individual Sovereign Rights.

Staying involved and advocating principles in as many places as possible must include the "seats of government power" at all levels. Constant vigilance and opposition to imposed unauthorized controls must always be addressed. It is endless and must be recognized that such resistance must always remain so. Trust but verify is not the option, Verify must always come first!

Thank you for recognizing SB 400 which passed so quickly is not nullification protection for the resident's of Indiana, it must be re-written (amended). Anyone who reads the applicable sections of NDAA will find that this is a war powers act under the power of the president executed by the armed forces, there is no state co-operation implied, necessary, or anticipated. Compare the federal powers to SB 400 provisions, where is the act stopped?

We're talking about banning cold medicine used by millions to "prevent" drug production and consumption by thousands, and some people really are naive enough to believe it will make a difference. If I'm an addict, I am GETTING my fix. It's a psychological problem. Drug users are not premeditated criminals.
